David White grew up in Mount Isa and Townsville (Qld) and started playing squash at age 10. David’s parents leased a squash centre in Townsville, which enabled David and his brother John to hone their squash abilities. David played the World Squash Circuit in 1991/92, reaching a career high ranking of 121. He then ‘retired’ from squash and joined the Royal Australian Navy.
David started playing squash again in 2008, making his way to the top of the Defence Force Squash Ladder and playing in the Premier Squash Division in NSW, WA and ACT. He was the Head Coach of the ACT Junior Squad in 2017/18. He left the Navy in October 2018 to take over the management of the Nerang Squash and Fitness Centre with his partner Toni.
Toni Maxfield grew up in the ACT and started playing squash at the age of 7. Toni’s parents were squash players and her two sisters also played squash. Toni represented the ACT as a junior from U13’s through U17’s at the Australian Junior Championships and the Green Shield Competitions.
Toni’s work history involves financial and corporate management of a number of both national and state not-for-profit organisations including the Mental Health Council of Australia, Music For Canberra and Hepatitis Australia. Most recently, Toni was a full-time vocalist in the Australian Army.
